BERLIN: Police said 22 people were injured on Saturday when an explosion occurred in the paddock area of Germany’s famous Nurbergring racetrack. One person was seriously injured, three others were seriously injured and the rest suffered minor injuries in what police said was an explosion of compressed air cylinders on Friday night, German news agency dpa reported. Police were on the scene Saturday to investigate the cause of the accident. Several people were taken to a nearby hospital by helicopter.
