ARC Raiders is a very fun game to play, especially with friends, but after spending over 50 hours (well, already over 100 hours) playing the game, regrets are starting to build up. Things I wish I had known sooner and opportunities I lost in the learning process.
This list is a breakdown of 10 things I regret not knowing sooner while playing. ARC Raiders. We hope this will help all new players get used to the game faster and enjoy every moment of their play.
Explaining the implicit rules of ARC radar
ARC Raiders emphasizes community interaction in its gameplay, so players will want to make sure they're following these unspoken rules.
I regret not knowing the value of certain items
Not only price and quality are important, but also usability
Despite my best efforts to learn the basics, ARC Raiders There was something I didn't figure out very quickly, until it was quite late. That is, the actual value of a specific item, such as: key, Uncommon Componentsand even seeds. There are also certain advanced materials that are very rare, but players always take them for granted. They prefer to see green and prioritize blue instead.
Because you don't know what's valuable and what's not, all that lost loot now becomes a stepping stone for readers to understand that they need to be careful when choosing what to do in Topside. Always check that items that seem 'less valuable' are not part of a larger project or requirement for a workbench upgrade.
Not knowing about camera tricks
Rookie mistake, you should know better than this.
As a third-person shooting game, ARC Raiders The player is free to move the camera (360°) to the point where they can see what's hiding behind the walls (provided the door is open and visibility allows, of course).
I wish I had known this sooner to avoid any ambush while going through the open door. The problem is that rotating the camera isn't a 100% guaranteed way to avoid death, but it can be a huge help when approaching unknown players or navigating obstacles.
Do not use noise generators
Now I use them all the time
A noise maker is your best tool. It's cheap, easy to make, unobtrusive (almost invisible when deployed), and makes a ton of noise if enemy raiders are nearby. Most players, like me, have definitely given up on the idea of using these tools at first glance. But that was a mistake.
If only there was a way to safely plunder the most dangerous places in the world. ARC RaidersThis means placing a noise generator (or several) at the entrance. This will alert looting players to the presence of hostile rival raiders, allowing them to open fire to claim all the precious loot. The noise these things make is enough to make some intruders run away. ARC enemiesIt may cause them to back off at full speed.
This ARC Raiders loadout is virtually invincible (and basically free).
ARC Raiders has a variety of loadout options to choose from depending on what content you're playing, but one of them is perfect for every need and it's basically free.
Neglecting to select enough ammo before running
Running out of ammo at the top is no fun at all.
Ammunition is very easy to craft, and even for those who don't collect basic materials regularly, collecting mats from Scrappy the Rooster can be enough.
The problem is that ammunition cannot be crafted from the surface and there are only a few specific containers inside that can hold a few bullets. This is a mistake veteran players avoid at all costs. But in the past, I was under the illusion that I could loot ammo on a run. This alone is never enough.
Not investing in the right technology from the start
My Crafting and Traveling Tinkerer in the Round has saved my life many times.
There are two specific skills that you need to unlock as quickly as possible, the first is round makingallows players to craft a few basic essential items on surfaces, such as shield rechargers and bandages.
As players progress further with their characters, they can unlock improved versions of their skills, including: The Traveling Tinkerer. This skill allows you to craft advanced grenades, traps, and radar hatch keys. The latter will open up an immediate evacuation route to Speranza, saving players' lives countless times by avoiding all PvP and ARC enemies in the process.
Not knowing about ARC armor and weapon utilities
Some of my least favorite weapons are now my go-to weapons
Everyone hates one-sidedness. That's not debatable. When I joined the game, I was constantly harassed by people mercilessly spamming shots of Ferro and Anvil from left to right. I ended up hating that gun and never used it. There is no doubt about it. Some weapons are better than others.
But that's me ARC Armor PenetrationSeveral Target Practice deployments have since been run, prompting further investigation. Eventually I, like most players, discovered that the Anvil was the best gun against most ARC enemies and that certain weapons like the Stitcher or Il Toro could take a player down in seconds. Now I mostly use Stitcher and carry Il Toro to Stella Montis whenever I deploy.
Not using enough ziplines and grenades
They are great! If you don't win, you haven't thrown enough grenades
zip line It's noisy and takes a lot of time to deploy. However, they offer players two things: The element of surprise, a way to climb to heights, and a quick escape if necessary. In the past, I was reluctant to use it because it was inconvenient to carry around. Now I feel the need to always have at least one with me.
And don't even get me started on the grenade utility! Despite initial experimental failures, these proved to be the Raiders' best friends. Sure, they're noisy and attract a lot of attention, but well-placed grenades can win a fight in a pinch. Remember.
Doesn't remember to use mines and door blockers at high risk POIs
Perhaps the most disappointing regret of the ARC Raiders.
mine Very useful, if you combine it with door blockerIt creates the perfect environment for an ambush. Players running around looting are running around foolishly, paying no attention to the world and only paying attention to movement and objects lying in plain sight.
This is what makes this combo so lethal. Mines make no sound, and if the player finds a barred door, they feel the need to pry it open. They never know there's someone on the other side pointing a gun at them. When the door opens, a mine activates, dealing damage or stunning. The ambushing player does the rest. A simple way to hunt other players.

Now you know about the weaknesses of ARC enemies.
Why didn't I figure this out sooner? Oh that's right, I was too busy looting like a maniac.
There is a way to land a blow on most small ARC enemies and deal a lot of damage to larger enemies. All ARC enemies have weaknesses, and unfortunately most players (like me) find this out later than they should. For example, most drone type Arcs are known to have a weak spot on their rotors, but one shot of Anvil or Ferro at the red dot on the sensor (even a pair of Rattler's) can actually take them down without much trouble.
A fireball opens before attacking, and in that short window of time, a single fireball is instantly destroyed. Pop can be fired at the lights on the side to make them explode, and a similar tactic can be used even when using the dangerous Shredder.
I didn't know you could call an elevator and send it down while you're down.
Even if they knock you down, it's not necessarily over. Fight until the end!
Most players don't know this, but if you collapse near an elevator, you have almost enough time to call it and send it down. And yes, it is. They can do it even while down. The crawl may be slow, but reaching the panels is possible. This is especially true if the perk has been enhanced to allow the player to resist damage and have more 'down time'.
This is, of course, if the player is downed by an ARC drone or rampaging rocket trooper. If players take them down from afar, they will most likely not make it in time. But perhaps if they've already called for the elevator or another player intervened to give them enough time, they'll be able to crawl out of the crossfire in time to reach the activation panel (or computer) and save the run. The problem is that you never surrender!
