JJK manga features both major and minor supporting characters on their volume covers, and level 1 mage Hiromi Higuruma is no exception. On the cover of JJK Volume 19, Hiromi Higuruma is holding a sunflower and looking intense. This cover can be seen around 1 minute and 10 seconds into the opening of JJK Season 3.

Interestingly, Higuruma is another name for sunflower in Japan, a flower that directly reflects the identity of Higuruma. Additionally, actual Japanese lawyers usually wear sunflower pins as badges. Higuruma also had a sunflower badge when he first appeared in episode 143 of the manga.

Maki and her bloody knife

• Maki will end the genin clan on her own.

Janine Maki got major exposure in the opening sequence of JJK Season 3. She became a major character in the third season because she received the most frames, perhaps excluding Yuji Itadori and Kenzaku.

One of the best frames in the opening is a still shot of Maki holding a bloody knife and/or dagger. As comic fans know, Maki's awakening will grant her special powers.

Like Yuji's, her hands will be stained with the blood of not just innocent people, but the entire clan. The sword she holds in her hand probably symbolizes the cruelty committed against her clan. However, it could also be the same weapon that Maki's mother used on Naoya.

Egon Schiele's 1910 work Dead Mother is also referenced in the opening of season 3 of JJK. The anime used Kenjaku as the mother, and at the 0:52 mark, the infant Yuji Itadori was used as the baby. Knowing how Yuji was conceived in JJK, the frame looked beautiful and scary at the same time.
